cancelling or changing an order

If you have already placed your order but wish to cancel or change it for any reason (eg. your spouse already bought the item you just ordered, you changed your mind or you didn't read the help section entitled "delivery times" before ordering - thought it would reach you tomorrow but now realize it won't), you may or may not be able to do so before your order ships.

"But I just placed my order an hour ago! Surely I can still cancel it!?"


We are set up to fill orders as fast as possible and once your order has been placed and payment completed, a real person processes your order and your order is released to the shipping warehouse as quickly as possible for fulfillment.

If you have already received an e-mail order confirmation (either from us or our payment processor) letting you know when you may expect your order to reach you, it is most likely too late to cancel your order before it ships. At that point it has already been released to the warehouse/s and once that happens there is no going back.

The good news is that even if you e-mail us to cancel your order and we respond letting you know that it is too late to cancel, you can return your order within 30 days. Please see our returns policy.

Orders usually leave the warehouse within the period of time indicated in the detailed product listing. For ground shipping, to figure out an approximate delivery date add 4 business days onto the 'usually ships within' time noted in the product description. Eg. if an item 'usually ships within 24 to 48 hours', you can expect to receive it within 6 business days from the date of your order. Please note that if you choose to fund your purchase by PayPal eCheck instead of credit card at the time you checkout, please add an additional 4 business days for your payment to clear.

For items marked "ON BACKORDER", shipping times will vary. Orders placed for delivery outside the contiguous 48 states of the USA (APO's, AK, PR or HI) will take significantly longer to arrive and may require additional shipping charges. With PayPal you can choose a number of ways to pay - from your PayPal account balance, or you can charge your credit card, or debit your PayPal confirmed checking account. PayPal no longer requires you open a PayPal account to complete your credit card payment. Making a payment to us through PayPal is easy, fast, safe and secure.

We have also added the option to use Google Checkout. The address listed for True Media Corp. in the Google Checkout screen is our US shipping depot only. Please address all snail-mailed order correspondence to the Canadian mailing address listed above above.

A special note to our customers choosing to pay via Google Checkout: Your card will be charged when we receive your order, confirm availability of the item/s you ordered and place your order into fulfillment. In the majority of cases, we only confirm shipment of your order when we have a tracking number to enter into the Google Checkout system. Even if you have not received notification of shipment via Google Checkout, your order may already be in transit. returns policy and 30 day money back guarantee

All products purchased from HomeschoolingSupply.com are eligible for a limited 30-day money back guarantee unless the product's detailed description page expressly states otherwise. To be eligible for return, products (except in the case of defective products) must be returned unopened and/or complete with the original packaging and must be in resaleable condition.

To be eligible for return, software, CD-ROM's and video products (DVD or VHS) must be unopened in the original packaging. Opened software, CD-ROM or video products (DVD or VHS) are not eligible for return unless defective.

If you wish to return product/s purchased within the last 30 days and which meet the criteria listed here, you must first e-mail us to obtain a return authorization (RA) number and return shipping instructions.

Products returned which are not in original or unopened condition (except defective products), or products returned beyond 30 days of the original purchase date or, products returned unaccompanied by a valid RA number will not be eligible for refund or exchange.

Once an item is received back in acceptable condition with a valid RA number we will issue a refund to the PayPal account or Google Checkout account you originally purchased with for the full merchandise purchase price less a 15% restocking fee. No restocking fee will apply in the case of defective or incorrectly shipped items. We cannot refund your initial shipping charge nor can we reimburse you for return shipping unless the return is due to our shipping error or in the case of defective products.

After 30 days from the date of purchase returns, exchanges and refunds are no longer available for any reason.

We DO NOT ship outside the USA, offer rush shipping (faster than 3 day select), ship to PO boxes or ship via your account with 3rd party billing. Please double-check your ship-to address before completing checkout. Once an order is placed, you most likely will not be able to make changes to it.

Please e-mail us for a special shipping quotation before placing your order if you wish delivery outside the contiguous 48 states (eg. AK, HI, Guam or PR). APO's and FPO's may use our regular online checkout and we'll ship your order via USPS Priority mail although the actual delivery date will most likely be later than estimated delivery date you see in the shopping cart screen. Additional shipping charges may apply but we will e-mail you if this is the case. We are not able to ship all items outside the contiguous 48 states of the USA.

Since school purchase orders are relatively expensive for us to process and in continuing efforts to keep our costs low, we respectfully request that your minimum purchase order total be $50.00 or more.

1. Select the products you'd like to order from our online catalog, carefully noting the item numbers of the products you'd like to order.

2. Calculate your shipping charges based on the total value of the merchandise you are ordering. Please note that very heavy items, such as furniture pieces, will require additional shipping charges. We recommend that you contact us to confirm your shipping costs if you want to order a heavy item.

We use PayPal and Google Checkout payment processing services. When you click to check out and pay for your shopping cart order, the payment and/or your credit card information is placed on PayPal or Google's site. We never see your credit card number, only that an order has been placed and paid for.

All confidential information in transit from your computer to the payment processor uses the Secure Socket Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available.) Before you even register or login to the PayPal or Google site, their server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher.

Once your information reaches the payment processor, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers.

shopping cart problems


If you experiencing difficulties checking out, or adding to your shopping cart, or are receiving an 'Error 3014' (eg. you cannot add items to your shopping cart, or your cart is empty when you go to check out), we would suggest trying two things:

stock status

On the product detail page of each item, we list whether the particular item is a "Regularly stocked item" or if it is on backorder. If an item is listed as a "Regularly stocked item", this means that in most cases this item will be available for shipment right away. Although we try to make sure that all backordered items are listed as such, occasionaly, an item listed as a "Regularly stocked item" will have recently gone on backorder and will not be available to ship immediately.

If you do place an order for a backordered item, we will notify you by e-mail of the backorder and will provide you options as to how to proceed. If you wish, before you place your order, you may contact us to find out the exact current stock status of the item you are interested in ordering.
